Delegates from Nairobi City participated in the inaugural Breathe Cities Workshop held in Paris from 3 to 5 December 2024, joining 32 representatives from cities including Accra, Bangkok, Bogotá, Brussels, Jakarta, Johannesburg, London, Mexico City, Milan, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Sofia, and Warsaw. The workshop aimed to inspire ambitious clean air action, facilitate learning through shared tools and experiences, and catalyse progress via peer-to-peer collaboration. A key takeaway for the Nairobi team was the critical need to make the invisible issue of air pollution visible — an insight that has since energised Breathe Nairobi’s efforts, particularly under Pillar 2, to enhance public awareness and engagement.
